Law & Liberty CLE: Reproductive Freedom
Tuesday, September 28, 4:30 – 6:00 pm
St. Clouds Food & Spirits, 1131 34th Avenue in Seattle’s Madrona Neighborhood (map)
This installment of the ACLU of Washington’s "Law & Liberty" CLE series is presented in conjunction with Book-It Repertory Theatre’s production of “The Cider House Rules Part Two: In Other Parts of the World.” Book-It generously offers discounted tickets for CLE participants, through October 16.
Speakers include Raegen Rasnic, principal at Skellenger Bender, along with ACLU-WA Education Equity Director Linda Mangel and ACLU-WA Ropes and Gray Legal Fellow Lindsey Soffes. Learn about the history and current state of reproductive freedom, comprehensive sex education in public schools, and the rights of pregnant and parenting teens.
Our venue has a special connection to the book and play: “Inspired by the many meals created for the cast and crew of “Cider House Rules,” and by the sense of warmth and welcome connected to the orphanage in the book/play, they [named the restaurant] St. Clouds – the place where orphans come to find a sense of home and family.”
Enjoy no-host food and spirits during the program. If you’d like to stay for dinner, please make a reservation at http://stclouds.com/.
$10 ($5 for ACLU-WA Members)
